Kenya
Kenya, the beating heart of Africa, and since 2014, our home base. This is where we live, work, and belong. Kenya bursts with diversity. Here, urban energy, untamed wildlife, and Swahili charm merge into one vibrant experience.

Why is Kenya the perfect country for you as a traveler?
Kenya has it all. From our buzzing hometown Nairobi to the endless savannahs of the Masai Mara and the untouched beaches of the Swahili coast. In between, you’ll meet people who welcome you with open arms.
This is home to us. We live here, we work here, and we know every tribe, every trail, and every hidden corner. Our founder Charles started here in 2014, traveling across the country on his motorbike to explore every village, campsite, and national park. Along the way, he met countless local partners, now lifelong friends, and helped put Kenya’s hidden gems on the map. Over the years, our team of Charlie’s Angels followed in his footsteps, many of whom now also call this country home. Together with our Kenyan colleagues and local communities, we create experiences that connect travelers with the real Kenya. That’s how you get to know the culture and stories that make this country so unique.
For you, that means discovering the Kenya we experience every day. You’ll go beyond the standard lodge and beach stay — searching instead for connection, adventure, and meaning. Our strong relationships with local partners make our routes truly unique and turn your journey through Kenya into something deeply personal and unforgettable. We know where to send you for that sunrise viewpoint, the small homestay where grandma still cooks over an open fire, or that bush camp where you feel like the world belongs only to you. This is how you truly fall in love with Kenya in an honest, adventurous way. Just like we did.
Discover Kenya with our local partners
This is where it all began for Charlie’s Travels. We’re fully embedded in the community and have built lasting experiences with our local partners. We can introduce you to our friends, who will welcome you with warmth and authenticity.

Make your trip even more special by combining safari and coast with cultural experiences such as:

- Habel and his family invite you to stay at their home in the Taita Hills.
- During a multi-day hike through the Loita Hills, the Maasai teach you about ancient traditions.
- Daniel welcomes you to his homestay, where you’ll camp on the edge of the Mt. Suswa crater.
- In Magadi, you can go canoeing, camping, and motorbiking across the open plains.
- Our local guides will lead you on breathtaking climbs to the summit of Mt. Kenya or Mt. Ololokwe.
- In the Northern Conservancies, you’ll learn about the life and rituals of the Samburu community.
No traffic jams to spot a lion — just the Big Five in raw, untouched nature:
- Ol Pejeta Conservancy: famous for its rhinos and large population of chimpanzees.
- Tsavo East and Tsavo West: ideal for spotting wildlife on your way to the coast.
- Lake Nakuru National Park: a stunning park with a high chance of seeing lions.
- Mara Morijo Trails: skip the jeep and go for a motorbike safari near the Masai Mara.
From 0 to 100 years old, Kenya is for everyone!
- There are routes with short drives and family-friendly accommodations.
- Romantic hideaways and unforgettable activities for lovebirds or honeymooners.
- Raw and rugged routes with local nightlife for adventurous friend groups.
- And for 65+ travelers, there’s plenty to experience comfortably without losing the sense of adventure.
Want to see wildlife and the Great Migration? Plan your trip between July and September (dry seasons).
More interested in quiet safaris, birdlife, and newborn animals? Choose December to February.
Prefer lush green landscapes, lower prices, and fewer crowds? Consider the rainy seasons in April, May, or October.

“We had an amazing trip to Kenya with my student association through Charlie’s Travels. We stayed with the Maasai (a small tribe in the middle of nowhere). It was special to see how these people live and sustain themselves. Overall, it was a fantastic journey!”
Great organization for adventures in Africa! We had a fantastic, personalized trip in Kenya with plenty of interaction with the locals. Charlie’s Travels ensured we went beyond the tourist hotspots. Communication was excellent, and our guides were very friendly.
We had an amazing trip with Charlie’s Travels to Kenya. We went well beyond the tourist hotspots and truly connected with the locals. It was undoubtedly the best trip we’ve taken with our three children! Marlies
