Your holiday to Uganda: the best time to travel and the climate
Uganda is located on the equator, giving it a tropical climate. However, due to the country's higher altitude, temperatures around 25°C with a moderate breeze are most common. The rainy seasons are from March to May and October to November, so it's a good idea to have a poncho with you during these months. The best times to visit are from December to February and from June to September, especially if you want to see gorillas, which is ideal from June to September and in December.

What is the likelihood of contracting malaria in Uganda?
A common question is whether malaria is widespread in Uganda. As much as we'd like to say no, unfortunately, that's not the case. Malaria is present in various areas of Uganda. However, this doesn't mean you should start your journey with any fear. It's important to take the right precautions, such as using DEET and wearing long sleeves and trousers in the evening and night. Always get proper advice on malaria from the GGD (Public Health Service).
