Namibia offers many opportunities to spot extraordinary wildlife; here are our favorites:
- Etosha National Park: This is the place in Namibia to see special wild animals and discover spectacular landscapes.
- Damaraland: You should come here if you want to see desert elephants and, with some luck, the rare black rhino.
- Okonjima Nature Reserve: Wildlife researchers take you out on tracking safaris.
- Namibian Rhino Conservancy: During a rhino tracking experience, you learn all about conserving the majestic white and black rhino species through the Rhino Momma project.
- Namibia is highly recommended for lovebirds and honeymooners who love adventure and sleeping under the stars in remote places.
- There is plenty to do and see for families, although keep in mind the longer travel distances for the little ones.
- Always wanted to travel with your football team, old study friends, or a group of friends? Cross this country in a convoy of 4x4 jeeps.
- 65+? This country is also very well accessible with more comfort, without losing the adventurous spirit.
- May to November: this is the dry season, with blue skies, lots of sun, but cooler temperatures.
- November to April: the rainy season, it can get very hot here and there are sometimes tropical afternoon showers. Ideal if you want to avoid the crowds.
