Heading to Mozambique? Registration Required!

When preparing for a trip to Mozambique, there are a few important points to keep in mind. First of all, ensure that you always have a valid passport with you for identification. Mozambique requires that your passport be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in the country. As for the visa, if you're a Dutch traveller visiting Mozambique for tourism or business, you're in luck. For a stay of up to 30 days, you do not need a visa. All you need to do is register online at the Mozambican government website at least 2 days before arrival.

Visa for Mozambique: the costs

For registration, you will need to pay MZN 650 (approximately €10), which can be paid in dollars, euros, or by credit card. Upon arrival in Mozambique, you will need to show a valid passport, a return ticket, and either a hotel reservation, proof of accommodation, or an invitation letter.

Visa for Mozambique: additional information

With your registration, you gain access to a stay of up to 30 days in Mozambique, with the option to re-enter the country multiple times within that period. If you wish, you can extend your stay by another 30 days through the Mozambican government website. It’s important to note that this exemption only applies to specific types of visas. For other types of visas, this exemption does not apply, and you will need to submit an application to the Mozambican government or the Mozambican embassy in Brussels.

When applying for a visa, make sure your passport has at least 2 blank pages to receive the necessary stamps.
