Chobe national park
In the northernmost tip of Botswana, you'll find one of the country's largest parks: Chobe National Park. With one of the biggest elephant populations, countless lions, and the full Big Five, Chobe is the ultimate destination for a rugged safari experience.

Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is located near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. In addition to its large elephant herds, the park is renowned for its Cape buffalo, which gather along the Chobe Riverfront during the dry months. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract countless bird species, as well as migrating zebras. Lions, antelopes, and hippos thrive in the forests and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. Other predators are also plentiful here—even the rare wild dog calls this area home. Be sure to head out early in the morning and late in the afternoon, as these are the prime times for spotting wildlife.
The Chobe River
Bordering Chobe National Park flows the Chobe River. It’s a fantastic idea to take a boat trip along this river midway through the dry season, from May to September. During this time, countless animals come to the riverbank to drink. What does that mean? Plenty of opportunities to spot zebras, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests! You might also catch sight of lions lurking nearby, on the hunt for a tasty zebra snack.

Go on an off-beat safari adventure
Today, an authentic off-the-beaten-track adventure awaits in Chobe National Park. Here, you'll find yourself far from the beaten paths, deep in the wilderness. Prepare for challenging routes that will test both you and your vehicle. This is a world of untouched nature, uncharted trails, flowing waters, potholes, and mud—you name it! As you navigate through, you're constantly on the lookout for the ultimate goal: wild animals in their natural habitat.
Home to a whole lot of elephants!
In this environment, wildlife is driven by the search for prey and water, while you, as adventurers, are on the hunt for them. In Chobe, you could encounter virtually every species of African fauna you can imagine. It's highly likely that you'll drive from one herd of elephants to another and may even need to avoid them on the road, as this park boasts an astonishing population of over a hundred thousand of these hefty giants!
Meet the king of the jungle
Besides the vast number of elephants, there's also a good chance you’ll come face to face with the King of the Jungle—the lion. With all the African wildlife that Chobe National Park has to offer, this place is not only their home but also a five-star all-you-can-eat restaurant for lions. The abundance of meals and snacks available here makes this spot a true and popular paradise for these majestic predators.
