Best time to travel to Ghana

  • Dry season (November through March): The most popular time to visit with plenty of sunshine, dry roads, and excellent conditions for walking safaris on the savannah.
  • Green season (April through October): Short, powerful tropical showers alternate with sunshine. Nature and waterfalls in the Volta Region are at their most spectacular, and the landscape is lush and green.
  • The dry season is hot, while the green season is cooler. So, if you handle heat well and dislike rain, choose the dry season. If you aren't bothered by a bit of rain and sweat easily in hot weather, go during the green season!
