The Rhino Conservancy

The rhino is one of Africa’s most endangered species due to poaching, driven by the demand for their horn. Fortunately, you can contribute to their protection in Southern Africa. Visit a conservancy in Namibia and discover how sustainable travel truly makes an impact.

The Rhino Momma Project

The Rhino Momma Project is a Namibian Rhino Conservancy that fights against rhino poaching and works to preserve these majestic white and black rhino species. This project has created a safe haven for a large number of rhinos in Namibia. The vision and mission of the Rhino Momma Project are to repopulate rhinos in Namibia and across the rest of Africa. Rhino Momma offers travellers the opportunity to sponsor, adopt, or even purchase a rhino. The funds raised are used to protect and care for the rhinos.

No one knows the exact location of the Rhino Momma Project, as this site remains a well-kept secret to protect the rhinos. It cannot be visited independently. Ask our Angels about the possibilities of experiencing this project up close—there are accommodations that allow you to visit this special place. However, you will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement, all in the interest of protecting the nearly extinct rhino.

The Namibian Bushveld

Would you like to contribute to rhino conservation? Spend a night at the Rhino Conservancy! It's perfectly situated for a stopover before or after visiting Etosha National Park and lies conveniently on the route to Windhoek. This conservancy boasts stunning accommodation options. The luxurious lodge, with its authentic African vibe, is the perfect start or end to your holiday! You can also head into the bush with a ranger to learn how to track rhinos. Naturally, you’ll maintain a safe distance, as these majestic creatures can be dangerous when they feel threatened. After all, the rhino is one of the Big Five. There’s so much to learn about this incredible animal that an entire education centre has been built. This brand-new facility aims to raise awareness about how critically endangered rhinos are.

Hats off to the rangers!

The rangers in the area work day and night to combat poaching. With years of experience, they know how to identify the poachers' weak spots and deploy all available resources to prevent the killing of rhinos. Using small planes and an army of rangers, they brave the area daily, searching for signs of poachers. This allows them to develop new tactics to better protect the rhinos.
