Off the beaten track on the Northern Safari Circuit

Discover Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro in an authentic way: camp in a dome tent or go all out in a lodge, anything is possible! Go mountain biking around Lake Manyara or take a 4x4 on your own adventure. Explore the Northern Safari Circuit your way.

Nothern safari circuit

Many travellers exploring Tanzania want to visit the parks around Arusha and the Serengeti. We’re talking about the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara. Of course, you can hop into a land cruiser and lean back for about five days of touring, but we prefer to make your route even more special!

Looking for a different kind of safari?

Try canoeing, hiking, or mountain biking along the route. It’s not possible in the Serengeti, and we don’t recommend it... among the wildlife! 😉 But there are several options along the way. For example, you can enjoy a great mountain biking tour at Lake Manyara. Between Arusha and Moshi, we’ve found a spot where you can go kayaking. From Moshi, there are several opportunities to take a beautiful hike through pristine nature, where you’ll encounter far fewer tourists. 

Multi-day safari: where will you sleep?

Make it as crazy as you want. We think camping is the best option: you get to experience the wildlife day and night (with rangers ensuring that the animals don't get too close). Picture this: at night, you hear the hyenas howling, and when you open your tent at sunrise, you see Africa waking up for real. If camping feels a bit too intense, we can find you a lovely lodge or a glamping option. Whether you'd like to spend an extra night or cut one short in a particular spot, it's all flexible so you can tailor the route to your preferences.

Group safari, driver, or self-drive?

You can choose to go on a group safari, which is a great way to explore with other travellers while sharing the costs. Alternatively, you can go with a private driver, perfect if you're travelling with your own family or have specific preferences, allowing you to create your own itinerary. If you're looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience, a self-drive safari is also an option. And for something truly unique, why not go on a thrilling motorbike safari?
