Mbabane

In the largest city of Swaziland, you’ll find a mix of traditional and modern architecture, along with many markets and stalls offering fruit and traditional medicines.

Relaxed and artsy

Chill, relaxed, and friendly—this is how you can describe the administrative capital of Swaziland. While Mbabane is the capital, it doesn’t compare to other cities. It’s more like a charming village. This administrative capital is also not far from the legislative capital of Swaziland. Lobamba is the cultural centre, where you’ll find the national museum and archives, as well as the national stadium. The king’s palace is also located here. Not far from this area is his former village, where people still live in beehive huts.

The temperature here is often very pleasant, giving you the energy to leisurely stroll through the markets in search of some unique arts and crafts. In this artistic city, you can visit lovely art galleries, looking for a beautiful piece as a memento of this beautiful country!

Night out

Mbabane is a lovely town to stroll around during the day, but if you’re looking for a good night out, you’ll want to head to Ezulwini, not far from Mbabane. In this valley, you can experience a mini Vegas night. Here, you’ll find restaurants, hotels, and casinos. Whether it’s blackjack, poker, or spreading your luck at the roulette table, it’s all here! And the next morning, you can use your well-earned winnings to hit a few balls on the golf course. Who knows, you might even spot some wildlife next to the course while you make that hole-in-one!
