Overnight Pothole Hike

Race in your 4x4 to the starting point and hike to the Potholes in Malalotja Nature Reserve, where you can relax and take a swim. Then, get ready for a wilderness campsite in the middle of nowhere, where you'll spend the night under the stars by a crackling campfire.

Adventure at its finest!

Looking for a true off the beaten track challenge? Then this pothole hike is just for you! You’ll set off in a rugged 4x4, tackling the rough terrain to reach the start of your hike. From there, your two-day trek through the wild landscapes of Malolotja National Park begins.

Once you arrive, strip down and dive straight into the water—no one around, so feel free! Show off your diving skills or slide down the waterfalls on your inflatable mattress. You won’t want to leave this paradise anytime soon!

A nice walk? Not quite—this isn't a leisurely stroll, but a full-on adventure where you’ll have to carve your path through the jungle. Along the way, you’ll scramble over rocks, leap across streams, and navigate dense terrain. Take in the breathtaking views stretching over the vast landscape before plunging back into the jungle, making your way towards the ultimate goal of this trip: the potholes.

Wild camping in the bush

Fortunately, there's no need to leave just yet, as you'll be spending the night right here. After a great day of hiking and splashing around in the water, you'll pitch your tent in the bush. Wild camping is the way to go here!

As the sun sets, your campfire crackles away, and a delicious meal simmers over the flames. You crack open a well-earned beer or a bottle of wine and soak in the adventure. With a full belly and the sounds of the jungle around you, you drift off to sleep, only to wake up to the cheerful chirping of birds in the morning.

Another beautiful hike awaits before you're picked up by a 4x4 and taken back to the park's reception. What an incredible adventure – one not to miss on your trip to Swaziland!
