Wilderness trail in Kruger National Park
Would you like to explore one of Africa's most famous national parks off the beaten track? This wilderness route is a dream for true bush and wildlife enthusiasts. Explore the park on foot, sleep in the bush, and learn everything about wildlife and tracking!

Kruger on foot
A game drive is already an experience in itself, but imagine being part of the African bush instead of just a spectator! Discover Kruger National Park on foot during an exciting wilderness trail. On one of these multi-day hikes, you'll walk through the most remote areas of the park, places where no vehicles can go. Additionally, only one hiking group is allowed at a time, so you’ll truly be in the bush with just your group. When you look at a map of Kruger, you’ll see how vast the park is and how the roads only cover a small part of it. Just imagine what’s hidden in the thick bush that YOU (and the rangers, of course) will be walking through!

A dream come true
In the evenings, you'll sleep in cosy huts and enjoy a South African braai and bush TV (campfire)! During a wilderness trail, you'll learn an incredible amount about the African bush. The standard "how old can an elephant get" question is not on the agenda here. You’ll learn more about track and signs (tracking), animal behaviour, the beauty of insects, and how to approach dangerous animals. One particularly special trail is the Olifants Backpack Trail. This trail spans 4 days and 3 nights, covering about 42 km. During this trail, you’ll camp in the middle of the bush (yes, in a tent) without any facilities. A dream for true bush enthusiasts!

Comfort in the wild
Is that a bit too much of a good thing? Then opt for something like the Bushmen Wilderness Trail! This wilderness trail starts in the southwest of Kruger, a bit closer to 'the inhabited world', and includes stays in comfortable huts. In this area, you'll find valleys and high rock formations offering stunning views over the bushveld! You'll also come across ancient Bushmen paintings and other historical sites. As for wildlife, this area has a high concentration of elephants and endangered white rhinos. A beautiful combination of culture and safari!
Our routes
South Africa is, of course, enormous and offers countless beautiful places to discover. Take, for example, the Garden Route—the most popular coastal route in South Africa. It's absolutely stunning, but due to the overwhelming amount of tourism and because we want to focus on what we excel at, we have decided not to offer this route.
Instead, we focus on off the beaten track experiences and routes, away from mass tourism. We aim to show our travellers the authentic side of South Africa as much as possible. In South Africa, we opt for routes with relatively short travel distances, allowing you to experience safari, nature, tropical coasts, and mountains all in one trip. With a variety of activities ranging from unique hikes to beautiful boat trips, diving to ziplining, horse riding, and topping it all off with culture, we've focused on two regions: the true off-the-beaten-track Western Cape and The Eastern Loop! This way, you can fully enjoy the beauty that South Africa has to offer.
