Malawi is known as the warm heart of Africa and that is exactly how it felt. It was amazing to discover this country with Charlie’s Travels and such a lovely group of people.

The moments that stayed with me the most were the beautiful hike through Nyika National Park, the night we all dove into a local bar together, the paradise like Likoma Island and the road trips through the stunning African landscape.

A fantastic experience to go pioneering in Malawi with Charlie’s Travels. Truly the warm heart of Africa, with very friendly and open people. Malawi is a country with an incredible variety of things to do. We explored the lesser known north, hiking in Nyika National Park with stunning views over colourful hills, taking an exciting boat trip across Lake Malawi and enjoying beach vibes and countless beautiful birds on Likoma Island. There are also lovely bays and hidden spots along Lake Malawi. The roads are improving but still offer the occasional challenge, which is actually a big plus for the more adventurous traveller. The setup and organisation by Charlie’s Travels was excellent, always flexible and tailor made to everyone’s wishes.

Our journey through Malawi was truly fantastic. Charlie’s Travels arranged everything perfectly for us. The encounters along the way with the open and friendly local people will stay with me forever. Although the country is not very touristy yet, the accommodations we visited were beautiful and absolutely worth it. If you want to truly discover Africa and experience an authentic adventure, Charlie’s Travels is highly recommended.

Angola. A country in Africa that does not even have a Lonely Planet yet. So with the driven and knowledgeable local partners of Charlies Travels we set out to explore this hidden gem. Loved it.

Angola has surprised me in ways that are hard to put into words. The country is raw and pure, with landscapes that seem to breathe. The red earth glowing under the sun, endless savannas fading into a haze of heat, and the ocean endlessly beating its rhythm against the coast.

The friendliness and rawness itself, a delightful mix of pure Africa and Portuguese influences. Stunning untouched nature, the serenity and the fantastic people. From desert to jungle, from canyons to waves crashing against the rugged coast. What a country.

Remote and truly pioneering. A big adventure, from camping in the stunning desert to creating lifelong memories with proud locals. I went home with a huge smile and cannot wait to return.

What a refined balance between adventure and relaxation! Each lodge had its own charm, from infinity pools to intimate dinners under the stars. The organisation by Charlie’s Travels was flawless, and the personal touches, such as a private guide and a tailor-made itinerary, made it extra special.

Charlie’s Travels offered us a perfectly curated trip where comfort and adventure came together. From champagne at sunset in the Masai Mara to relaxing on a secluded beach in Watamu – every moment felt special and unique. The accommodations were stylish and exclusive, and we felt pampered everywhere we went. This is the way to truly discover Africa.

We’ve just returned from our trip to Kenya, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we were picked up in a private transfer to staying in exclusive lodges with phenomenal views (especially Sasaab Lodge) – everything was perfect. The service was impeccable, the food sublime, and the personal attention really made it special. The safaris were a dream; we saw the Big Five with a guide who shared so much knowledge about the wildlife.

My wife and I have been motorbike riders for years, but this trip was something entirely different. Riding through the savannah as herds of zebras crossed our path and ending the day with a sunset at the foot of Kilimanjaro—it was simply magical. Charlie’s Travels was fantastic and always ready to assist. The routes were well thought out and challenging in an enjoyable way. Perfect for motorbike riders looking for something special.

Great young and ambitious travel company with boots on the ground in Africa. We travelled with them through South Africa and Namibia. They made great experiences/activities possible that we would never have discovered on our own otherwise. For the next trip to Africa, I will definitely contact them again.

What a fantastic honeymoon we had with Charlie’s Travels! In just 19 days, we visited three countries: South Africa, Swaziland, and Mozambique. We spent a few nights sleeping under the stars in our personal camper and a few nights in luxury accommodations. Everything was wonderfully organized!
