Magadi Desert
Whether you're driving yourself or riding along with one of our experienced local guides, you’ll travel by motorbike through the desolate plains of the Magadi Desert, getting up close to Kenyan culture, wildlife, and nature.

Sunny Magadi Desert
With the sun on your head, you ride through the dust, literally veering off the beaten track. You race your motorbike across the parched, cracked earth, under the scorching African sun. Clouds of dust swirl up in the wind, and small tornadoes spring up behind your wheels.

The route
Around Magadi, we’ve developed several routes where you can get to know the surroundings from the seat of your motorbike. Meet the local, brightly dressed Kenyan tribes, head towards the Magadi hot springs that emerge from the volcanic landscape, or go in search of wildlife. There's a good chance you'll come face to face with a giraffe or a zebra!

Camping in the wild
Camp in the heart of the Magadi plains or stay in a luxury lodge. One thing is certain: everywhere you look, the beauty is breathtaking! Due to the favourable climate, there’s a variety of birdlife around Lake Magadi, including bright pink flamingos and pelicans.
The motors we use
We use 150cc Hondas and Bajaj Boxers, which are the most commonly used motorcycles in Kenya, meaning spare parts are available on every street corner. A mechanic and a Masai guide, who both know every corner of their land, will accompany you on your trip. For true adrenaline seekers, 250cc motorcycles are also available.
