Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Consultant intern to join our team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will play a key role in trip execution, ensuring smooth and efficient travel operations while delivering a high-quality experience for our clients. This role requires strong organizational skills & planning, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Profile

  • A degree in tourism management and residing in Kenya.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English; additional languages like German, Dutch are an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple trips and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail – nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Confident handling clients, partners, and suppliers across different cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and think quickly on your feet when issues arise.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with our local partners and suppliers.
  • Support as a point of contact for clients before, during, and after their trip.
  • Help in resolving client issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end coordination of trips, ensuring all logistics elements are aligned.
  • Help book accommodations, activities, transfers, and flights, ensuring accurate and timely reservations.
  • Assist in preparing supplier guidelines, travel briefs, and logistics documents for upcoming trips.
  • Sit in on or help coordinate pre-travel briefing calls with travelers and share all necessary trip info.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless trip planning that meets client expectations.
  • Support the team in reviewing pricing to ensure we get the best prices.
  • Assist in keeping operational records and trip documentation organized and up to date.
  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and eagerness to contribute.
