Etosha National Park

In Namibia’s rugged landscape lies Etosha, a safari paradise spanning 22,000 km². Spot wild animals, enjoy magical sunsets, and experience the ultimate safari destination. It’s a landscape that completely immerses you in the African safari vibes.

The predators go hunt their pray

Etosha National Park spans over 20,000 square kilometres and is home to 114 mammal species, 100 reptiles, and 350 bird species. We drove in and, within five minutes, found ourselves face-to-face with a herd of elephants. Welcome! Etosha is a park with few trees, allowing you to see for miles—a true blessing on safari!

Cheetahs seek shade under the bushes, and you can spot giraffes wandering from a great distance. Etosha means ‘the great white place’, named after the vast, dried-up, moon-like lake: the Etosha Salt Pan. A must-see! Elephants use this white clay as ‘Mzungu Protection Cream’ (a kind of sunscreen). They cover themselves in it, giving them a white appearance—something truly unique to Etosha.

Since Etosha National Park is absolutely teeming with wildlife, it’s a Predator’s Paradise! There’s a very high chance of encountering lions, and you might also come across leopards and cheetahs. If you’re on a game drive here, don’t give up—stay focused!

Waterhole madness

There may not be another national park in Africa that makes wildlife spotting as easy as Etosha. Because the environment is so arid and dry, animals seek refreshment and hydration at one of the many natural waterholes. This creates breathtaking scenes of elephants, zebras, various types of antelope, wildebeest, and giraffes enjoying the water in harmony. Although, that harmony is sometimes disrupted...
