What is the climate in Uganda?
Unleash your inner Tarzan because, with its lush forests, vast savannas, and enormous lakes, Uganda is an untamed, hot jungle filled with steamy, fragrant flowers where you might stumble upon a troop of monkeys among the green, humid leaves. To top it all off, there’s the Nile, the lifeblood of Africa, which is fairly navigable from here. Uganda—thanks to its location on the East African Plateau, rising 1,100 metres above sea level—has its heat moderated. With an average temperature of 28.6°C, it’s cooler than you’d expect from a country on the equator. Uganda largely experiences two tropical climates. Perfect if you love jungles, monkeys, and vast freshwater lakes with endless waterfalls. It’s the ultimate green rainforest land—jungle fever is here!

There is a clearer wet-dry division: from March to May, it is wet, with a short rainy season in November, extending to mid-December. These rains are less intense than in spring. During these rainy periods, temperatures average about 3°C lower than the usual 25°C – 30°C. But that hardly makes it cold..!Near Lake Bunyonyi
At an altitude of 2,000 metres lies the "water of the birds" with its hundreds of islands. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few bodies of water in Uganda where you can swim without worrying about crocodiles or hippos. The average temperature here is around 25°C, but due to the altitude, nights cool down significantly to about 14°C. A perfect excuse to snuggle up to Jane, as this island paradise is truly romantic.
