About Charlie’s Travels
We are Charlie’s Travels: a Dutch travel agency aiming to show travellers the real, diverse Africa! This is made possible because of our very skilled and passionate team: a group of African enthusiasts living across the continent. We join forces to organise unforgettable, authentic, and off-the-beaten-track tours in Eastern and Southern Africa, especially appealing to those travellers who want to escape the standard tourist route and embark on a more authentic adventure!
Africa, the other Story
Together with our travellers and our partners, we want to paint a complete picture of Africa, change people’s perspective (as an alternative to stereotypes and cliches about Africa), and let people engage in the ‘real Africa’! We do this by offering a refreshing way of travelling. How? First, simply be on the ground 24/7 in the destinations we specialise in. We can develop our routes, expand our network on a daily basis and create the most extraordinary experiences, thus offering genuinely authentic trips! For over 9 years we served the Dutch market - but it’s time to expand and introduce our unique products and services to the German market. To make our German market more successful and long lasting, we are searching for a native who can give tailor made travel advice to our German leads and is successful in turning proposals into WON deals!!
Do you want to…
- Be part of our International team and work closely with marketing, sales and operations experts.
- Be the face for the German market? Representing Charlie’s Travels?
- Be responsible for the German sales within Charlie’s Travels? This means selling a lot of different products in multiple countries that we offer our clients.
- Be in close contact with potential German travellers to Africa: give them tailor made advice and set up customised travel plans?
- Pro-actively think along with other travel consultants on how to improve our sales and products for the German audience?
- Work together with Marketing to improve campaigns and communication, to attract the right leads?
- Help us to translate all the content you need to close the deal?
- Learn our company about all the ins and outs of the German tourist and language?
Can you….
- Speak and write perfectly in German (native) and English?
- Show experience of working in the Travel industry or a sales related position
- Identify yourself with our brand? Do you have a passion for authentic travel and do you love off the beaten track experiences?
- Empathise with different target audiences? We sell trips to families, group of friends, lovebirds, friends, and solo travellers.
- Know how to follow processes and proactively improve them where you see a change?
- Manage your time well? You know how to create a schedule and communicate clearly about the progress of your performance.
- Speak from experience? It would be great if you have been to Africa (and specifically Kenya) at least once (or multiple times) yourself.

- When working at the office you have 30 remote working days per year to explore the beautiful continent.
