Immerse yourself in the luxury of Northern Kenya

Arrival
All set for your Kenya trip? Be on time for your flight, pick a good movie, and get ready for a warm welcome in Nairobi. This bustling metropolis is the start of your Kenyan adventure and is eager to greet you. Stroll through the backstreets of the capital, go on a whirlwind exploration on the back of a bodaboda, unwind after your long journey at one of the trendy restaurants or your serene retreat in Karen. Karibu Kenya!

Nairobi
Walk through the dusty streets of downtown Nairobi with former street children Kissmart, Donga, and Cheddaz. These three ‘street kids’ grew up in Mathare, one of Nairobi’s largest slums. In the past, they roamed the Central Business District (CBD), begging, stealing, smuggling, and dealing. Now, they share their street skills with you on a guided tour through the CBD! Thanks to this tour, the boys can create a better life for themselves, their families, and the next generation of street children from their slum. They'll show you where they used to sleep as kids, the escape routes they took to evade the police, and tell you all about their time in prison. Prepare for intense stories, unexpected encounters, plenty of high fives, awesome dance moves, and, above all, a lot of fun. And don’t worry—with these guys by your side, you’re in safe hands!

Nanyuki
This laid-back town lies at the foot of Mount Kenya and carries a rich history. It was here that the first struggles for independence began, led by the Mau Mau resistance against British colonisation. You'll find plenty of charming shops, and the Kenyan Air Force is also based here. Take a walk through the lush Ngare Ndare Forest and dive into its crystal-clear blue waters. Oh, and a fun bucket-list item: the equator runs right through Nanyuki! You'll stay in one of the most relaxing locations, the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

Samburu National Park
Get ready for safari! The Big Five roam freely here, alongside giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and a variety of antelope species. What makes Samburu truly special is the unique 'Samburu Five': the gerenuk, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Grevy's zebra!
The animals are most active in the morning, so it’s an early start today! How much wildlife will you spot? Head towards the entrance of Buffalo Springs National Park, located just across the river from Samburu. You can choose to explore the park on your own or embark on an adventure with a knowledgeable ranger.

Sera Conservancy
Today, a once-in-a-lifetime off-the-beaten-track experience awaits: rhino tracking on foot in the stunning Sera Conservancy! Forget the comfort of a Land Cruiser with a driver—this adventure is all about walking, bringing you closer to nature and even closer to the rhinos. To get the best chance of spotting these incredible creatures, you'll need an early start. But don’t worry—it’s absolutely worth it!

Meru
Meru National Park is a hidden gem, offering all the ingredients of a classic safari destination: endless savannah, rolling green hills, and an abundance of wildlife. Lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes—you name it! I can't wait to hear about all the incredible animals you'll spot. Plenty of wildlife, few tourists—this is an off-the-beaten-track safari with a touch of luxury!

Lamu
High in northern Kenya lies the Lamu Archipelago—tropical islands with historic settlements, white sandbanks, the azure Indian Ocean, and vast mangrove swamps. Getting here requires a flight, but once you arrive, motorised vehicles become a rare sight. You'll stay not in Lamu itself, but in the peaceful haven of Shela. Here, you can unwind completely, soaking in the tranquillity before heading back to the bustle of the Netherlands or Belgium.

Departure
All good things come to an end, and so does this incredible adventure through Kenya. Fully rested, you pack your bags and head to the airport for your flight home. With a healthy glow on your cheeks, you settle into your seat, close your eyes, and drift off, dreaming of the amazing experiences you've had. Bursting with inspiration and a wealth of unforgettable memories, you step through your front door. Untouched nature, abundant wildlife, an inspiring culture, and vibrant cities—this journey has given you stories to share around the fireplace for years to come. Welcome home! One adventure may be over, but you've gained a lifetime of experiences.
